Reporting to the Chief of Staff the Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing day to day administrative support to the Office of the Commissioner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Logging tracking reviewing and responding to inquiries and correspondence received in the Commissioners Office timely and accurately.
Managing the Ask the Commissioner mailbox which allows staff to submit their ideas recommendations and questions to the Commissioner.
Managing daily office operations (e.g. answering phones managing the commissioners schedule/calendar greeting visitors).
Coordinating/leading quarterly Commissioners Office meetings (e.g. developing the agenda identifying speakers/topics for discussion hosting meeting).
Providing quality assurance for all documents being sent or published on behalf of the Commissioner (e.g. memoranda policies internal/citywide reports). This includes interacting with abovementioned documents creators to understand content and ensure accurate and intended messaging. Making corrections as necessary ensuring timely delivery of final document(s).
Preparing written communications such as memos letters PowerPoint presentations reports and instructional documents as needed.
