Job Description

Department: Finance Corporate Billing & Accounts Receivable & Registration (CBARR)
Reports to: CBARR Supervisor
Hours: 37.5 per week
Status: Permanent FullTime
Closing Date: May 9 2025

Position Summary  

UHN Corporate Billing & Accounts Receivable & Registration (CBARR) is a highvolume fastpaced department responsible for revenue through billing and collection. The Clerical Assistant IV plays a crucial role in supporting a wide range of activities with a strong emphasis on customer service and administrative tasks.

Duties

  • Liaise professionally with insurers patients support workers and the clinical team
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely reception and submission of billing files
  • Review patient data accuracy including chart reviews prior to billing
  • Ensure optimal customer service by timely collecting verifying and correcting patient demographic data
  • Handle patient calls emails and messages received in Epic
  • Manage the mailing of patient statements
  • Perform administrative activities across all CBARR portfolios
  • Perform other duties related to the position as required

Qualifications :

  • Completion of a Business Administration or Accounting diploma required OR equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience with preference in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to discuss Financial coverage with patients and/or family members
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced time sensitive environment with minimal direction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and satisfaction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Epic system experience preferred
