Job Summary

Installs maintains and repairs industrial equipment and facility infrastructure by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors pneumatics conveyor systems and production machines; following diagrams sketches operations manuals manufacturers instructions and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Locates sources of problems by observation; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Troubleshoots 480Vac power systems and 120Vac electrical controls.
• Uses calipers micrometers and other measuring instruments for determining dimensional data of components.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools levels plumb bobs and straightedges.
• Uses electrical meters to identify voltage current capacitance resistance etc. of various types of electrical circuits.
• Able to communicate with various levels of personnel (Maintenance leadership production leadership and equipment operators).
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintains equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Dismantles and reassembles machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Lays out assembles installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and repairs and replaces gauges valves pressure regulators and related equipment as directed.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Rigs equipment for installation or relocation as directed.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers motors and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays switches motors positions sensing devices and printed circuit boards.
• Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
• Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring conduit and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Possesses knowledge of robotic machinery.
• Prepares maintenance reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirements:

• This position requires a minimum of high school diploma or general education degree. Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with pneumatics hydraulics electrical water PLC welding or analytical troubleshooting required.

Compensation:

$30/hr.$40/hr. *Based on experience*
