At Wispr Flow were building voice intelligence that truly understands you. Our team of designers AI researchers and engineers is crafting voice interfaces that are both useful and ubiquitous paving the way for a future where voicefirst experiences replace screenfirst technologies.
Our first product Wispr Flow has become the first consumer voice dictation platform to break the keyboard barrier: making people use voice more than their keyboards.
Wispr Flow is looking for an experienced android engineer to take ownership of building and own our Android product that sets a new standard for user experience.

Core Job Responsibilities
- Build Wisprs Android voice dictation and voice assistant experience
- Iterate fast with user feedback to build sticky experiences
- Setup best engineering practices (testing abstractions design docs)
- Design for delight: Develop sleek and intuitive user interfaces for Wispr Flows evolving technologies & products
- Ship features endtoend: Scope and lead technical projects from conception to deployment
- Own the product vision: Define and drive the product strategy across mobile ensuring excellence in performance and usability
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with the founders and designers to push the boundaries of whats possible
Required Knowledge/Skills Education And Experience
- Built fullstack Android applications in Kotlin (send your best)
- Kotlin aficionado
- Care towards code quality and UX
- Strong programming practices and highthroughput of code across the stack
- Outstanding team player and communicator
Nice to have Knowledge/Skills Education And Experience
- Experience with JetpackCompose for layoutfree floating overlay UIs
- Experience with Accessibility Services on Android
- Experience with audio applications
- Launched consumer apps before
- Design experience
- Low level systems hacking experience parallel programming experience
$120000 $200000 a year
The compensation band is an estimate and depends on experience. The total compensation for this position may also include stock options and relocation reimbursements.
