Job Description
Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Respite services to a young man in the Camillus area. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff MonWed Friday. 10 am 2 pm. Additional can be discussed with family. Responsibilities may include supporting the individual in the community as needed. Transportation to desired events.
We are looking for applicants who are reliable and caring. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities a plus but not a requirement. Reliable vehicle and a drivers license are required.
Payrate: $20.00 per hour. All new hires must compete a fivehour initial training online; the payrate for the initial training is $16.50/hour
Schedule: Monday Wednesday and Friday. 10 am 2 pm.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work independently in the persons home and/or community.
- Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
- No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- New York State Drivers license reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
