Targets Global UX team is a group of design content research and accessibility practitioners and experts with a passion for improving and innovating our digital experiences for Targets guests team members and partners. About the role:
As a Senior UX Researcher within our Loyalty UX Teamyoull be at the forefront of Targets evolving digital experience shaping it for our guests and contributing to business growth. In this role you will be responsible for planning executing and synthesizing research to create actionable insights for the cross functional product development team. You will translate research data into powerful stories that help shape Targets products. This role is a key partner to several functions including product managers UX designers engineers data scientists content designers accessibility consultants and site merchandisers.
As a member of our Loyalty UX Research Team youll be working on the product lifecycle experience for our credit and loyalty offerings. Youll use tried and true research methodologies utilizing human centered design thinking to deepen our understanding of our Guests experience needs and pain points with a focus on the endtoend experience. As part of a cross functional team you will help develop new ways of how we onboard engage and support our guests.
As a member of the team you will contribute to advancing the broader practice of UX at Target through influence impact and craft while also educating crossfunctional teams when needed. We are an engaged supportive and increasingly diverse team focused on elevating the impact of our discipline.
Responsibilities:
Use your skills experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals
Conduct and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research projects such as: in person and remote moderated & unmoderated testing surveys heuristic reviews benchmark studies concept testing online & instore intercepts ethnographies
Utilize both quantitative and qualitative research methods and know when to use one or the other
Support product teams (product managers product designers engineering) throughout the research project life cycle recommending appropriate methodology scoping and coordinating the entire process facilitating infield research and postresearch synthesis through analysis
Assist the broader UX Research team in keeping our ongoing research library uptodate and comprehensive
Contribute to a culture of humancentered practice within UX product and engineering teams
Navigate complexity and ambiguity delivering impact for guests team members and the business
About you:
Preferred 4yeardegree in Anthropology Social Science Design Research Psychology Human Factors HCI or related field.
Experience in UX Research methods including remote moderated & unmoderated testing online & incontext (store) intercepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to cross functional partners
Genuine curiosity about people and experiences
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable speaking to a diverse group of people and leading conversations to discover research insights
A strong ability to tell compelling stories from data
Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects (both small and large) and adjust to changing priorities
Strong project management skills experience managing multiple projects at various stages in the product design life cycle
Experience running recruiting moderating and analysis of online panels and thinking strategically about their application
Proficient in Powerpoint Outlook Word and other MS Office software
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
