Position: Systems Administrator
Department: Information Technology
Salary: $6212.63 $7862.80
Reports to: IT Director
Position Summary
Klamath County is seeking a qualified and motivated Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology Department. This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting core IT infrastructure including installation repair and optimization of hardware and software systems. You will work closely with county departments to ensure high system performance resolve technical issues and support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain troubleshoot and repair computers network systems and related hardware.
Provide project support enduser training and vendor coordination.
Develop and document internal systems procedures.
Perform system backups monitor for intrusions and implement corrective actions.
Maintain user accounts permissions and access rights.
Deploy hardware and software perform updates and test new systems.
Monitor and manage systems using tools like SCCM SolarWinds and SCOM.
Provide oncall support and respond to system alerts 24/7 (must respond onsite within 15 minutes when on call).
Adhere to federal and state IT security regulations including CJIS HIPAA PCI DSS and more.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associates degree in computer science or related field required bachelors preferred.
2 years of enterpriselevel Windows systems administration experience (4 preferred).
Handson experience with virtualization platforms and shared storage systems.
MCSA certification required.
Advanced experience with PowerShell scripting strongly preferred.
Valid Oregon Drivers License required.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong understanding of Windows Server Active Directory DNS DHCP IIS SQL and SCCM.
Experience managing Office 365 environments and mobile device solutions.
Familiarity with network infrastructure (TCP/IP VPNs firewalls SDN).
Proficiency in system monitoring and performance optimization tools.
Ability to communicate across organizational levels and work collaboratively in a team.
Exposure to Mac OS and Apple iOS systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
Regularly required to sit use hands talk and hear.
Occasionally required to walk climb balance kneel or crawl.
Visual abilities required: close vision color vision and focus adjustment.
