The Opportunity

We are looking for vibrant and committed hospitality professionals to join our Signature Restaurant team! Our knowledgeable Food & Beverage Event Service Expert (Part time/ Casual) will strive to ensure that guests of Deco Lounge & Banquet Hobart experience a truly immersive and personalized customer experience. You will deliver a level of service that is warm welcoming and memorable from beginning to end balancing elegance with effortless charm.

In this role you will be responsible for providing our guests with warm and engaging customer service at Deco Lounge & Banquet. You will respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements set up banquet areas/rooms ensuring cleanliness and proper setup of furniture/equipment inspect and maintain table setups for cleanliness neatness and agreement with group requirements and company standards and resolve any problems. Additionally you will document pertinent information in the appropriate department logbook.

About You

  • Experience working in a similar position in a luxury hotel or hospitality venue.
  • Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills
  • Immaculate personal presentation standards and excellent attention to detail
  • Passion and knowledge about food & beverage products
  • Excellent communication skills with warm personality both in person and via mail
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  • Valid DoFoodSafely Certificate
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Willing to be flexible is essential as shifts will include days evenings weekends and public holidays
