Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct comprehensive medical evaluations for veterans seeking compensations for medical and psychological injuries sustained during their service. This role requires 75% travel across New York State with an initial focus on Upstate New York including Albany Buffalo Jamestown Elmira Utica Syracuse Rochester Watertown Endicott and Middletown.As a provider with IMA you will conduct physical assessments review medical records and ancillary testing results and prepare reports using VA guidelines.
For fulltime positions the salary range is $130000 to $140000 annually. The role requires the provider to travel 75% of the time.
For parttime roles the salary is prorated based on the number of hours worked and the travel schedule established.

Responsibilities:

  • Medical Evaluations: Perform indepth medical assessments including gathering medical histories and conducting physical examinations of applicants.
  • Diagnostic Interpretation: Analyze and interpret diagnostic and ancillary testing.
  • Report: Create a comprehensive medical report including VA criteria to determine the likelihood that the Veterans condition is related to their military service.
  • Data Submission:Utilize our userfriendly report generation platform to submit your VAapproved questionnaire quickly and easily.
Travel Requirements:
  • Required Percentage of Travel Required: 75%
  • Regions Covered: All of New York State with an initial focus on Upstate New York including Albany Buffalo Jamestown Elmira Utica Syracuse Rochester Watertown Endicott and Middletown.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
  • Completion of a masters degree in nursing or completion of a masters degree in physician assistant studies.
  • Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Preferred specialties include family medicine emergency medicine internal medicine occupational medicine physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) or orthopedics.
