Job Description
You will be assisting with the compounding of sterile and nonsterile prescription medications in this role. Some of the other essential job functions include:
- Preparing and compounding sterile products
- Complete order entry and refills under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Inventory management and storage complete appropriate documentation such as labels log sheets and reports
- Efficiently and accurately manage required production/workload
- Maintain medication log
- Prepares prescription medication for shipping
- Document compounding activities in an accurate and timely manner
- Prepare and maintain a clean and orderly work environment
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High school diploma or equivalent
- If a candidate is not currently registered as a technician they must obtain registration through the state of Nebraska ($25) prior to starting as a technician. a candidate becomes newly registered as a technician with the state the candidate must complete the certification exam through a boardapproved state or national pharmacy technician certification program within one year from the registration date.
PREFERRED:
- Clean room experience preferred
- One year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a licensed pharmacy or experience in a healthcare field.
- The current State of Nebraska Pharmacy Technician Registration and proof of completion of a boardapproved state or national pharmacy technician certification program
