Children receive 24hour physician and nursing care physical and occupational therapy speech therapy recreational therapy and school assistance. Nursing care includes all activities of daily living medication administration intermittent catheterization tube feeding tracheostomy care ventilator care and patient/family/caregiver education (acute care brain and spinal) with take student nurses

At 247 beds LCH is the largest childrens hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. We have 4 pediatric hospitalist teams a 20bed PICU (including Cardiac ICU) an 85bed Level IV NICUand an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation floor. Job Summary
The Nurse Aide I assists in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Assists in maintaining a clean safe patient environment and performs job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competencies as appropriate to the needs of the patient population served.

Physical Requirements
Work requires walking standing sitting lifting reaching bending stretching stooping pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients medical equipment and supplies. Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms. Must have manual and finger dexterity. Physical abilities testing required.
