Job Description
Cook Position that requires you to cook large meals 80100 patients/staff at a time.
Must be able to work independently and as a team. Rotating holidays.

Mount Regis Center is a leading substance abuse provider in the Virginia area. We are currently seeking a Full Time dedicated driven personable individual to work in our Dietary Department as a cook. Some experience in the healthcare field is a plus. If in recovery must have at least 1 years clean and sober. Must have some experience cooking from scratch for a large group of people.
Routine food preparation and delivery services of cold or hot foods in the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform routine tasks related to clean up and sanitation of kitchen dining or serving areas.
Properly prepare serve and store food in accordance with facility policies.
Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
Prepare foods according to standardized recipes.
Utilize service methods and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
Understand and apply the sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment.
Adhere to menu compliance special diet compliance and report any dietary noncompliance concern or complaint of patients to supervisor or manager.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification where required by the state and facility. If you do not have this certification we can sign you up for the class after starting employment at MRC.
