Forming part of the Biotechnology segment at Danaher we bring together dedicated technical expertise and talent to develop the next generation of lifechanging therapeutics.

The computational chemist at Cytiva will apply the most recent advances in in Silico prediction to enhance chemical reaction prediction improving efficiency and accuracy in chemical engineering will result in the development of a transformative approach in the realm of AI for chemical reaction prediction particularly in recommending optimal reaction conditions. Ultimately this will speed up Cytivas ligand development and offering faster new products to our customers.

This position is part of the Resin and Technology Unit that is located in Uppsala Sweden. At Cytiva our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • The successful candidate will apply stateoftheart machine learningAI powered tool to develop a chemical reaction condition predictive model. The role is part of a team that will validate the predicted conditions in a laboratory setting.
  • You will also develop a text mining tool that can involve the use of natural language processing algorithms to feed the chemical reaction predictive model.

Who you are:

  • The applicant must have a MSc. level in the field of computational science
  • Demonstrated skills in database management systems data mining data structure and algorithms and artificial intelligence
  • Good communication skills are an integral part of the job requirement (report out orally and in a written format)
  • The applicant must have a good knowledge of the latest developments in machine learning and AI powered tools

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Very good oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Good ability to manage own priorities and deliverables both independently and in the team setting
