THE POSITION
The Department of Transportation is on the lookout for a Roadway Programs Technician 1 to join our team. This role involves carrying out technical tasks that support the evaluation analysis and enhancement of maintenance operations all while aligning with the managements goals and adhering to departmental policies and procedures in Clinton County. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role you will oversee the functions of the storeroom which encompass preparing purchase requests for necessary supplies receiving and storing parts distributing items and conducting inventory management tasks. You will play a key role in evaluating work plans to ensure that they are wellbalanced and that the required labor materials equipment and financial resources are available to execute these plans effectively. You will also have the opportunity to assist in making necessary adjustments to work plans as situations arise. Work involves verifying the accuracy of foreman payrolls utilizing reports to track work data such as completed production units manhours utilized equipment usage and material consumption. Additional responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and monitoring work data to ensure compliance with MAPI measures and making recommendations as to how the organization may improve
- Assisting with monitoring maintenance operations in the field
- Assisting with completing field studies to gather data from various maintenance operations for the development of work standards
- Aiding in directing the purchase receipt storage and issuing of all bulk materials and garage storeroom items

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Overtime and shift work required. Work hours are subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39785 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Technical Assistant(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent;or
- An Associates Degree in a field of Business Administration Computer Science Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program;or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
