Midday Assistant

Craneswater Junior School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Midday Assistants to work 5 hours per are a good school with wellbehaved children and a very supportive staff in the heart of Southsea.
Hours are 12.10 am 13.10 pm Monday Friday term time only 39 weeks
Contract/Hours: 5 hours per week term time only
Salary Details: Band 1 SCP 2 FTE 23656 prorata 2846
Required Start Date: As soon as possible
Closing Date: 14th May 2025
Interview Date: w/c 19th May 2025
This is a busy and varied role requiring the successful candidate to supervise pupils during the lunchtime period. Our team of lunchtime staff work together sharing different duties over the week. Duties include:
- Supervising and assisting children in the dinner hall to collect eat and clear away their meals
- Supervising and engaging children in play activities on the playground
- Ensuring children play together positively and cooperatively with good behaviour
- Administering first aid and
- During periods of wet play engage children in suitable classroom activities ensuring classroom behaviour expectations are upheld.
