This is an exempt level position.
We are seeking a proven leader in account management/sales to hold the position of Pet Food Account Manager. This position will developand maintain relationships with strategic accounts primarily consisting of pet food manufacturers in their assigned territory. Sales activity will focus on uncovering and understanding individual customer goals and priorities and then positioning the appropriate ADM products and services to meet those for this position include:

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Hourly and salaried nonexempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired employees will be in an atwill position and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.

This is an exempt level position.
We are seeking a proven leader in account management/sales to hold the position of Pet Food Account Manager. This position will developand maintain relationships with strategic accounts primarily consisting of pet food manufacturers in their assigned territory. Sales activity will focus on uncovering and understanding individual customer goals and priorities and then positioning the appropriate ADM products and services to meet those for this position include:
- Annually develop and periodically update a comprehensive territory business plan including financial targets and supporting account strategies.
- Attain the established fiscal year sales and expense targets.
- Identify all potential accounts within the assigned territory develop an account profile for each and utilize these customer/prospect files in planning goal setting and analyzing each accounts potential.
- Proactively work with ADM product managers and technical sales staff to develop specific strategies to grow ingredient and premix sales within the assigned territory.
- Develop close customer relationships to facilitate business opportunities between ADM and the assigned customers.
- Monitor and report product pricing in the assigned region along with other industry trends and competitor activities.
- Work closely with assigned customer service representative to efficiently service customer needs. Delegate adequate authority for day to day customer decisions related to pricing and other support services to assigned customer service representative.
- Coordinate sales calls with Tech Support as appropriate to attain customer sale targets.
- Bachelors degree in Agriculture or Ag Business/Marketing with pet industry knowledge including current trends in production systems and markets and an understanding of key participants and influencers.
- Ability to creatively solve problems and build consensus with others for recommendations.
- Superior verbal and written communications time management and organizational skills.
- Effective presentation and sales skills and computer knowledge with Microsoft Office applications.
- Travel 6080% of the time.
