Job Description
- Safely operate company vehicle and ensure all destinations (across the state) are met in a timely manner; adhere to all traffic laws regulations and company protocol
- Operate industrial equipment to load and unload goods as well as manually transport when needed
- Verify accuracy of inventory against paperwork per delivery; communicate with customers on delivery times and updates
- Adequately complete transactions such by obtaining signatures completing paperwork and addressing any concerns
- Timely relay critical information to internal personnel via company protocol
- Represent the business through professional presentation and customer interactions ensuring customer needs are met
- Act as backup to shipping & receiving for time off busy periods and as required by management
- Minimal overnight travel within state approximately 5%
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience as an intrastate delivery driver or similar role preferred
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and valid state drivers license
- Ability to safely operate industrial equipment and maintain required license
- Ability to repetitively lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrate ability to efficiently navigate computer systems and applications
