Optometrists we are very excited to be recruiting a mobile optometrist for our fantastic practice across Boots Opticians in Dunstable and Luton.
Our vacancy is for a part time hours of 15 hours per week working Thursday 95:30 and Saturday 95:30 . The store runs a cataracts and cataract referral clinic.
We have 3 testing rooms benefiting from brilliant equipment including a Phoropter and OCT to support us in our journey to provide the best service to our customers and patients. The practice has parking available in Luton Mall and Behind the Dunstable store.
You will join our amazing team of 15 which includes another 5 other Resident Optometrist a CLO and a DO.

About the opportunity

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading clinics and providing specialist care and advice to all patients
- Testing eyes using the latest technology whilst maintaining outstanding patient care.
- Delivering enhanced services dependant on the store needs
- Responding to emergency triages
- Working with external healthcare professionals
- Providing clinical support to team members on the shop floor
- Providing advice to patients using your clinical knowledge
- Keeping up to date with latest clinical practices.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders
What youll need to have
The essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role:
- GOC registered (or expecting to be in the next 6 months)
- Additional registration with the relevant NHS body
- Drive to deliver excellent patient care.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- The motivation to See Whats Possible for our teams customers and patients.
