Phil & Jennie Gaglardi Academy (PJGA)
PJGA is a flourishing interdenominational K to Grade 12 Christian School situated on Vancouver Island in the beautiful Comox Valley of British Columbia. We are in need of custodians to continue to maintain our commitment to providing a clean and secure facility for those that work and attend our school. We place great emphasis on the health protection and safety of all our students and staff.
POSITION: Custodian/Janitorial
Weekly hours: 22.5 hours
Rate range: $25.00 per hour
To be considered for this position the following abilities and skills are required:
Ability:
- to manage your time efficiently
- to work independently with minimal supervision
- to lift at least 15 pounds
- handle basic maintenance building repairs cleaning and other janitorial work
- able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies and equipment
Skills:
- High school diploma with basic math skills
- Uptodate Whimis certification
- Valid drivers license
- Prior experience preferred
This position follows the current yearly school calendar with workdays from Sunday to Friday (closed on Statutory Holidays). Sundays work shifts are 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Monday through Fridays work shifts are 2:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Upon choosing the right candidate the contract would begin immediately.
