The position is for an onsite Quality Inspector. The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards. This role involves conducting inspections verifying documentation and maintaining accurate records for incoming and outgoing parts and products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality control excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with other functions. This role will support Receiving Inspection located at 8745 Production Ave San Diego CA 92121 USA.

1st Shift 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday Thursday) San Diego CA. This position is an onsite role.

What You Will Do

  • Perform inspections of incoming materials and outgoing shipments
  • Interpret and adhere to quality standards specifications and procedures
  • Use measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and quality
  • Document inspection results and maintain detailed records
  • Identify and report defects deviations and nonconformities
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with file management and material control
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Previous inspection experience
  • U.S. Citizen U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles tools and techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail problemsolving skills and organization
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • SAP and Microsoft Office Experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The salary range for this role is 50000 USD 100000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

This role is a role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
