Job Description

Are you interested in working for a charity that makes a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults

We are looking for a proactive and committed Janitor to join our team at Chichester Road Care Home in North London. In this role you will be responsible for;

  • General maintenance and repair cleaning stock taking gardening.
  • Ensuring safe working practices; performing regular Health and Safety and compliance checks of the building.
  • Recording and reporting on completed work within the buildings and ensuring that the maintenance of the buildings are compliant.

About you

You will havea genuine interest and commitment to the aims of St Mungos and our client group. You will also have:

  • Experience and proven ability in basic maintenance skills and the ability to manage a physically demanding workload.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety issues and procedures.
  • Understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.
  • The ability to cope with clients who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
