Project Kuiper is seeking a Cleanroom Supervisor to join the Optical group within Production. This role will report to the Value Stream Leader and work closely with them to supervise a technician team that supports prototyping and manufacturing of all components and assembly of novel optical laser devices. The individual will have strong leadership skills and be required to work on multiple projects in a fastpaced environment where communication and organization will be critical. This position will also utilize a variety of analytical tools as well as aid in creating a variety of laboratory procedures which they will help to draft and maintain. This will require supervisory duties as well as working as an operator in the clean room.
Key job responsibilities
Manufacture and assemble optical prototypes in an ISO 7/8 Environment ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
Supervise a team of technicians focused on early production and scaling output.
Work with Senior Manager to plan and coordinate daily tasks for technicians and activities of all operations with an ability to adapt to changing schedules and other dynamic priorities.
Work crossfunctionally with management facilities and supply chain to maintain operations and materials for an ISO 7/8 cleanroom.
Ability to provide timely feedback on designs processes and custom equipment used in routine prototyping fabrication and characterization.
Author maintain and train others to all relevant process documentation including Assembly Inspection Testing/InProcess Characterization and Packaging Procedures.
Review and approve rework to ensure accuracy and enforce traceability.
Comply with all Company Policies including Health Safety and Environmental Regulations Personal Protective Equipment Requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.
Able to accommodate flexible working hours. (Current shift: 2nd shift
Sunday to Wednesday 5:00 pm 3:30am or
Wednesday to Saturday 5:00 pm 3:30am)

We are building out a new production team which includes multiple shifts of work. The ideal candidate will be flexible to work day or evening shifts.
1 years experience of supervisory experience.
5 Experience manufacturing in high traceability environment (AS9100 Aerospace IS013485 Medical or other equivalent)
B.S. in Business/Engineering or relevant field.
Experience in assembly of small intricate Components under microscopic guidance.
Experience with Six Sigma Design for Manufacturability and DMAIC.
Experience manufacturing optical free space devices in clean room.
Strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to effectively communicate with multiple teams.
Conflict management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and multitask comfortable with changing work environments and priorities.
Proven ability to monitor own work product ensuring quality accuracy and thoroughness; able to selfmotivate and work independently or as part of a larger team.
Manual dexterity to handle tools and other equipment of varying sizes.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150000/year in our highest geographic market.
