KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define the programs governance
Lead program development and planning
Establishing and handling client expectations
Serves as hiring manager for the projects teams
Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the program
Managing risks to the programs successful outcome
Develop communication strategy and point person to work with communications
department
Development and management of budgets
Partner with Director of Advocacy and Impact on project strategy development and
implementation
Ensuring there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programs
individual projects
Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the
program are identified or issues arise
Reporting the progress of the program at regular intervals to the Director of
Advocacy & Impact
Develop a comprehensive project plan defining the projects scope and assigning
duties to members and the development deliverables and deadlines
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
As a prerequisite the Program Officer must believe in the core values Innovation

should demonstrate a passion for breaking new ground to lead social change. Beyond that we
are seeking a flexible and dynamic candidate capable of managing multiple logistics and
administrative tasks on different projects
Qualifications :
Key Qualification
University degree Master or Bachelor level in international development or related field or
equivalent experience
Skills and Experience
710 years of proven experience as a Program Manager in the international
development and/or humanitarian sectors
Fluency in oral and written English and French is required
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
Proven knowledge of and experience in organization planning scheduling program
strategy reporting proposal writing and budget planning.
Excellent communication skills
Excellent problemsolving ability
Proven stakeholder management skills. Proven experience managing a team.
Experience using technology for a variety of tasks.
Competency in Google applications including Docs Sheets Meets Chat Calendar.
