Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity

Were looking for experienced and organised Event and Conference Planners to help deliver a wide range of highquality events at Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland.

In this varied and peoplefocused role youll manage the endtoend delivery of events such as public lectures student and staff celebrations recruitment events (open days seminars webinars) stakeholder dinners cocktail functions pwhiri and more. Youll work closely with colleagues across the University to ensure each event runs smoothly and reflects the purpose behind it.

From developing concepts and timelines to managing budgets and logistics youll bring structure and creativity to every stage. Youll also provide expert advice and support to stakeholders to help deliver consistently polished safe and wellexecuted events.

We have fulltime (37.5 hours pw) permanent positions available.
This is a great opportunity to work in an events role without the stress of late nights and long weekend work. 

The remuneration range for this role is $62400 $77800 depending on skills and experience.

You will report directly to the Event and Operations Manager and work collaboratively within the Event Services team. Event Services part of Campus Life is dedicated to providing highquality services that enhance support and serve the University community through a diverse range of events and conferences. We aim to boost the universitys reputation contribute to campus vibrancy mitigate risk and deliver costeffective solutions for university customers students partners and industry. This role is based at the University of Auckland City Campus.

Youll bring at least 3 years of experience delivering both inperson and virtual events along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Youre confident working with a range of stakeholders offering sound advice and keeping things on track under pressure. Youll need to hit the ground running juggle multiple priorities and use your initiativewhether working independently or as part of a team.

This role will suit someone who is highly organised proactive and thrives in a fastpaced environment. A creative eye and an understanding of tikanga and kawa in event contexts would be an advantage. Experience in a similar role is essential and a tertiary qualification is preferred.
