OVERVIEW OF ROLE DIRECTOR WELLNESS LAYAN LIFE BY ANANTARA
The Director of Wellness will be responsible for driving and leading the commercial and financial performance of Layan Life by Anantara ensuring complete visibility and maximizing all opportunities and resources. Ensure that the highest service standards are adhered to and that guest experience exceeds expectations. Work directly with the Group Director Spa and Wellness Asia in establishing and maintaining key business objectives effective marketing/PR operational brand standards guest relations and team member training and management.
- Develop an annual budget and business plan for Layan Life in conjunction with the VP Operations and Group Director Of Spa and Wellness Asia be responsible for the achievement and regular review of the business plan and budget.
- Provide daily and monthly financial and statistical reports incorporating justifications of performance proposals and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
- Drive and monitor performance through KPIs.
- Review the monthly P&L scrutinizing departmental costs to optimize profit margins without compromising quality.
- Establish and ensure a costeffective wage structure based on productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor Hotel KPIs closely reflecting on how this may affect the spa and wellness business and forecast accordingly.
- Liaise with the Group Director of Spa and Wellness Asia to prepare and develop annual marketing plan.
- Collaborate with the Wellness marketing manager to ensure the highest quality content calendar is implemented across all channels.
- Coordinate with MSpa team all promotional activities PR and events in line with the annual marketing plan
- Drive inhouse conversion rate communicate and discuss KPIs with key department heads ensuring this is filtered down to an operational level.
- Effectively integrate wellness within the Anantara Layans marketing strategy and ensure ongoing representation both internally and externally.
- Collaborate on the planning and implementation of marketing activities within wellness sector with support from MSpa Team
- Plan and act as a host for all VIP and press events and visits.
- Maintain consistent guest satisfaction through collating guest feedback received from hotel surveys and communicate this with the team implementing changes or training where necessary.
- Deal with any guests complaints promptly and effectively ensuring client satisfaction and revenue is not jeopardized. Record any grievances and follow up accordingly liaising with the Hotel General Manager where necessary.
- Lead training and education of Layan Life Team and all staff members at Anantara Layan Resort
- Hold regular meetings and create strong relationships with key Hotel departments such as Front Office Arrivals Concierge Housekeeping Guest Relations Butlers
Qualifications :
- 5 years of work experience as a Director of Spa & Wellness within luxury hospitality or medical wellness setting.
- Experience building teams withing the luxury hospitality and wellness sector
- Strong aptitude in financial management financial reports and analysis.
- Demonstrated track record of strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Medical wellness background highly preferred.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Hotel Management Business or a combination of these.
- Ability to live and work in Phuket.
