To be considered a qualified candidate for this position you should have a good eye for detail excellent handeye coordination aboveaverage troubleshooting and communication skills. Ultimately a topflight calibration technician will work quickly and methodically to ensure equipment is safe for operation and calibrated to the industry standards and produce testing equipment certifications.
What you will do:
- Calibrating and certifying equipment to industry standards. (ASTM AASHTO TXDOT etc.)
- Traveling toclients location for equipment inspections.
- Maintaining calibration equipment supplies and calibration records.
- Completing accurate calibration reports for customers using Microsoft Excel.
- Performing routine equipment maintenance.
- Troubleshooting equipment failures.
- Conducting equipment repairs.
- Suggesting equipment upgrades.
- Responding to client queries.
What you will bring:
- A high school diploma or GEDwith good math and typing skills computer and spreadsheet experience.
- Relevant industry certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of construction calibration experience.
- Experience with Force Calibration.
- Extensive experience with equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to stand crouch and kneel for extended periods.
- Excellent handeye coordination.
- Extensive travel is required throughout Texas Oklahoma Louisiana and Arkansaswith company supplied vehicle.
- Ability to travel extensively and stay overnight; this would come with per diem at a GSA rate.
- Competency with calibration equipment and softwareincluding Microsoft Excel.
- A good driving record.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
