  • Start Date: August 2025
  • Hours: Fulltime (37.5 hours/week)
  • Grade Levels: PreK 8th grade
  • Compensation: Starting at $ 55 /hour (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students speech language and communication abilities.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students targeting areas such as articulation phonology language comprehension fluency and pragmatic skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers parents and other members of the educational team to support students communication goals in the classroom and other educational settings.
  • Incorporate evidencebased techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions to promote speech and language development.
  • Monitor students progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes.
  • Document therapy sessions progress reports and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide input regarding students speech and language needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist.
  • Experience providing speechlanguage therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speechlanguage pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students parents and school staff.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in school setting ( preferred )
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speechlanguage therapy (preferred).

Physical Requirements (Working in a School Setting):

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk and move around in various areas of the school facility. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students staff and parents both verbally and in writing. The employee may need to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and may occasionally be required to bend stoop kneel or crouch. Additionally the employee must have the physical stamina to supervise and engage with students throughout the school day.
