Job Description
Renesas is seeking a dynamic Director of Product and Test Engineering to lead new product development and manage production sustaining efforts for our Performance Computing Power (PCP) business unit at the Catania Italy development center. This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to collaborate with a crossfunctional international team to develop innovative solutions that enable data center AI and computing core power technologies. Products supported include multiphase digital controllers smart power stages and 48v system power regulators.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a highperforming team of Product Test and Sustaining Engineering functions
- Support the development and implementation of the strategic test platform roadmap for PCP products
- Foster engineering teams capable of thriving in fastpaced geographically diverse environments
- Establish and oversee a Product Engineering team responsible for product validation qualification production rampup yield optimization and customer engagement on quality initiatives
- Create and manage a Test Engineering team with responsibilities including ATE platform selection design for test (DFT) implementation test plan development ATE hardware design and delivering robust & costeffective test solutions
- Form and guide a Sustaining Engineering team focusing on driving production cost reductions maintaining high quality standards optimizing yields through process and test program enhancements and collaborating with operations to resolve production test challenges
- Collaborate with other department heads to align engineering strategies with overall business objectives
- Maintain close interaction with key customers and stakeholders to ensure that engineering solutions meet market demands and customer expectations
- Oversee project management including setting timelines budgets and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects
- Instilling the team with an engineering mindset that encourages curiosity problem solving and finding innovative ways to achieve objectives
Qualifications :
- 12 years of experience with leading Product/Test engineering teams
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus
- Excellent communication leadership and people skills with a proven ability to motivate teams and drive organizational success
- Familiarity with new product development procedures
- Knowledgeable of the production / operations environment
- Experience with statistical analysis problem solving methodologies and making datadriven decisions
- Ability to manage supplier excursions and customer escalations
