Normal Work Schedule:Monday Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm; some weekends and extended hours.
Job Summary:The Academic Advisor I provides guidance to University students on academic progress courses University resources etc. Identifies courses to be completed in upcoming semesters. Explains University and College policies. May teach compass course as needed.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Public speaking skills. Computer skills to include word processing spreadsheet and/or database management. Planning coordinating and organizing skills. Analytical and problemsolving skills. Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with academic advising and Banner.
