Our AT&T National Security organization supports our Nations Intelligence Community operating and assuring critical data voice video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of intelligence operations.
AT&T has an opening for aSenior Applications Developer to support aprofessional services programforaUS Government customer in the Washington DC metropolitan area. This Senior Applications Developer role will be primarily focused on the designdevelopment testingand support of specialized applications to meet customer mission requirements. This role requires expertise in full stack application development and integration with multivendor applications virtual environments as well as the SIP protocol a highly motivated who demonstrates effective decision making and analytical skills high attention to detail and a strong communicator. The candidate should be comfortable working independently and with an integrated team to support customer objectives. Position is fulltime on customer premise.

Required Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or related field

The following skills / prerequisites are required:
Minimum of 35 years of working experience designing developing implementing and maintaining application solutions to include:
Experience in building web applications and designing and integrating RESTful APIs to ensure data flow and or communication exchange information between applications and systems
Hands on experience with databases like MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB to include data schema design and data interactions to support applications
Experience working with source code version control systems to track coding revisions and support collaboration such as Git
Familiar with cybersecurity best practices that ensure data integrity and security to protect the application from vulnerabilities including authentication and authorization and encryption.
Strong analytical thinker and problem solver who can efficiently troubleshoot problems inefficiencies and performance with tools and methods for analyzing debugging and troubleshooting applicationissueswhen they arise and demonstrated ability to diagnose resolve and optimize application using rigorous logic.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional engineering team within the Sponsors organization.
Occasionaltravel to other Sponsorlocations within the Washington Metro Area may be required.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning both on and off the job to keep current with technology as well as enhance and develop skill and expertise.
Desired Qualifications
Industry certifications in various web design and programming languages such as HTML CSS JavaScript C# Python and similar certifications. Examples:
Oracle Certified Associate/Professional Java SE
Microsoft FullStack Developer Professional Certificate
PCEP/PCAP/PCPP
JSE/JSA/JSPA/JSPB
SIP School Certified Associate (SSCA)
Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate/EDB PostgreSQL/MongoDB
Experience or working knowledge of system virtualization VMWare or equivalent
Experience with cloud services and connectivity with providers such as AWS Azure or GCP
Experience with administration of Linux platforms and CLI
Familiarity with SIP protocol and communication application framework such as Asterisk
Firm understanding of network protocols TCP/IP and VoIP technologies and concepts
