About This Role:
Job Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for trust accounts within their book of business. Meet regularly and listen to clients to gain an understanding of their needs. Identify opportunities by asking the right quetsions. Research and resolve existing clients inquiries and respond to all client requests in a timely and professional manner. Perform necessary duties consistently and reliably to meet expectations and expand the relationship with product/service offerings. Foster the relationship and perform duties as requested as well as maintain regular and professional communication with centers of influence (i.e. accountants and attorneys). Leverage internal and external resources when necessary to identify and serve clients more complex needs.
Ability to read and understand the complexities of a Trust document in order to manage the opening funding closing transferring processes as well as regular maintenance of accounts and administrative reviews according to bank policies and guidelines within the designated trust platform system. Accountable for the sound decision making in exercising discretion in the best interests of the beneficiaries executing the terms of the estate plan or documents in which FNBO serves as Trustee Personal Representative Conservator or Guardian (Illinois only) often exercising broad discretion for beneficiaries with competing interests and managing financial risk for the organization.
Prepare and maintain appropriate forms and documentation independently to complete transactions ensuring completeness and appropriate customer cofiduciary advisor officer and/or committee approvals.
Serve as a subject matter expert on areas of expertise including estate settlements via the Death Administration Guide real estate processes and training.
Build understanding and knowledge of standards of excellence. Apply quality standards and ensure accuracy and completeness of individual work output in the following areas:
Prepare and print finalized documents review for accuracy and prepare for customer signature.
Scan all applicable documents route to appropriate systems and perform quality audit of documents after routing is complete.
Accurately process and track receipts/onsite deposits and disbursements.
Execute new requests for discretionary distributions and prepare appropriate documentation based on trust language; obtain appropriate committee approvals; track and proactive preparation of existing requests before exhaustion. Balance business risk to FNBO with customer interests including all exercise of discretion in fiduciary accounts such as approval of disbursements of fiduciary funds according to conditions of the trust and needs of the beneficiaries resolve customer issues and collaborate with customers to articulate and achieve goals in collaboration with Advisor RMs where applicable.
Review Authorized payments to ensure available cash and prevent overdrafts.
Prepare fee project letters input fee changes and ensure collection of final fees at account closure.
Monitor and complete letters and forms for IRA required minimum distributions.
Complete administrative account reviews in a timely manner prepare and obtain updated forms (i.e. Investment Objective/LODs) as needed.
Utilize expertise and knowledge to think creatively to address complex and unique circumstances.
Demonstrate knowledge of the organizations products/services and recommend proactively customer solutions.
Anticipate needs from the Team Led team. Complete multiple tasks by prioritizing time with the team and working together to communicate ongoing activities.
Communicate on a regular basis and work in partnership with TeamLed members regarding opportunities to enhance and grow the relationship with customers.
Establish polite and candid rapport with peers to build trust and support. Develop awareness of how assigned duties and tasks integrate with and affect the work of others. Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners across the organization to facilitate everyday transactions.
Followup with both customers and/or internal contacts to verify the customers needs are being met.
Facilitate and monitor exception decisions to ensure no unnecessary delays impact workflow or customer expectations.
Identify areas where efficiency and process improvement are needed within own area of work. Regularly use process improvement tools and techniques to assess and simplify workflow.
Report any known violations of compliance policy laws or regulations.
Understand and comply with the Banks BSA/AML Program which includes but is not limited to the following:
Comply with the Banks Customer Identification Program and Customer Due Diligence Policy
Identify monitor and report suspicious activity.
Complete BSA/AML/Compliance training in a timely manner as directed by management.
Understand and adhere to all bank policy laws and regulations applicable to role.
Exhibit professional behavior and promote a positive work environment contribute to the team and understand and strive toward department goals.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance in alignment with departmental/divisional policy.

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience education and/or skill level.
