Job Description
Along with our full benefits package we also offtuition reimbursement after one year of full time employment. We reward our Patient Care Techs for their dedication to our Hospital and award bonuses per extra shift that is picked up outside of their normal schedule.
Shift:Days & Nights
Position: PRN as needed
Pay Range:$18 $20 (depending on years of experience)
Shift Differential: Weekend Day Shift $1.50 Week Night Shift $1.50 Weekend Night Shift $3.00
Summary: Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of nursing. The primary commitment is to the patient so an important responsibility includes following through with tasks and following up on communication with the nursing and RT staff to help provide optimal patient care.
Patient Care Tech (PCT)/CNAResponsibilities:
Perform basic care skills under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse including vital signs intake/output measurement catheter care CPR restraint management bowel and bladder training and documentation of care in the patient record.
Responsible for assisting the licensed nurse in meeting the patients needs in the areas of personal hygiene personal care skin care grooming rest activity nourishment body mechanics elimination and psychosocial support.
Provide adequate safe care maintain knowledge about each patient assigned and participate in reports with nursing and other techs. Requires attention to detail related to patient care restrictions and special instructions or issues (diet instructions fall risk etc.).
Patient Care Tech (PCT)/CNARequirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
- 13 years of related experience preferably in a hospital setting EMT/Paramedic experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be organized a team player and detailoriented
- Good computer skills
- BLS/CPR certification preferred (classes available)
