Job Description

Flight Readiness Technician (Cabin Systems Readiness)

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)is currently seeking Flight Line Cabin Systems Readiness Technicians to join the 787 Program Boeing South Carolina Delivery Center Operations Team inNorth Charleston South Carolina on a Variable Shift.

This position will support the 787 Program Boeing South Carolina delivery Center Operations team performing cabin repairs final component installation and systems operational functional testing. Performs rework modification maintenance preflight and postflight checks for delivery inspect and document nonconformance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs Cabin repairs and functional testing

  • Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.

  • Assists in troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and assists in repairing faulty components.

  • Assists with preflight and postflight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.

  • Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.

  • Assists in performing system & subsystem predelivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.

  • Performs final component installation and systems operational functional testing.

  • Performs rework modification maintenance preflight and postflight checks for delivery inspect and document nonconformance following detailed verbal or written instructions on items with limited complexity.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Must be able to work any shift including days nights and weekends.

  • 6 months of Aerospace Fabrication or Manufacturing experience (including education).

  • 3 months of experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • FAA Airframe & Power Plant license.

  • 6 months of 787 Program Experience

  • Familiar with Boeing Production System.

  • Experience with Field/Flight Line Operations
