The Next Round of Applications is Open for the Southern Oregon EMS Apprenticeship Program !
Were thrilled to announce the opening of the next round of applications for the groundbreaking Southern Oregon Emergency Medical Services Apprenticeship Program (SOEMSAP) spearheaded by Mercy Flights and our community partners.
Program Overview:
Purpose: Designed to tackle the forecasted healthcare workforce crisis by diversifying and expanding the pool of EMS professionals.
Financial Support: Participants are eligible for fulltime employment including wages and benefits while completing EMT and Paramedic Education.
Scholarship Awards: Participants can secure up to full tuition scholarships towards completing the EMT EMS Certificate or AAS Paramedicine programs at Rogue Community College.
Sheila Clough CEO of Mercy Flights remarks: The strain of the pandemic has underscored the critical shortage of healthcare professionals particularly in the EMS sector. Our apprenticeship program aims to bridge this gap fostering awareness recruitment and employment of future EMS providers.

Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prior work experience is preferred.
Oregon Drivers License.
Must be at least 18 years old and meet company driving record requirements as listed in the Medical Operations Guidelines in order to comply with Mercy Flights insurance carrier requirements for driving company vehicles.
