Position Responsibilities:
Drive the architecture and design of largescale multitiered embedded software applications tools and systems using embedded systems programming objectoriented design C/C and Python. Gather business and functional requirements from external and/or internal stakeholders and translate requirements into technical specifications to build robust scalable supportable embedded solutions that work well between a range of complex systems. Serve as technical lead throughout the full development lifecycle endtoend from scoping planning conception design implementation and testing to documentation delivery and maintenance. Collaborate with partner teams and execute crossdisciplinary product development with a high bar for rigor and technical excellence. Provide design reviews for other engineers including feedback on architecture and design issues as well as integration performance scalability and security. Provide technical direction to the team and mentor and grow employees.
Position Requirements:
Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer Software Developer or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field and five years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Masters degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1.) providing technical leadership for all aspects of the software development lifecycle; and (2.) designing and developing largescale multitiered multithreaded embedded software applications tools and systems. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week.
