Were looking for a Systems Engineer with software experience who combines superb technical analytical and operational capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be comfortable working closely with a team of topnotch software developers to guide them through the certification process during software design and development. This person will also collaborate with our systems and hardware engineering teams to own the certification process for our components. Were looking for someone who innovates and loves solving hard problems. You will work hard have fun and of course make history!
Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
Bachelors Degree in aerospace engineering mathematics or related field
8 years professional development experience in a DO178 environment
Familiarity with at least one software language such as C
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Experience in communicating with end users technical & business teams and management to collect requirements and describe technical designs
Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving clarity
Experience driving a product through the full DO178 lifecycle
Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
Software development experience
Experience working on aerospace products or projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
