JMI Sports is seeking a talented and driven candidate to join the Pitt Sports Marketing team. The Specialist is an integral part of the property sales team and responsible for contributing meaningful dollars to the revenue generation for the property meeting their own sales goal while also managing sponsor fulfillment and activation for the property. The successful candidate is extremely organized highly motivated creative interested in and capable of selling effectively and independently and very comfortable in a fastpaced entrepreneurial environment. This person will work closely with the University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department facility staff and the JMI Sports team as part of a do what it takes commitment to the client and the sale. This fulltime in person position is located in Pittsburgh PA and may require regional travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieving annual revenue goals by successfully executing renewals and driving upsells to cover for annual attrition
Developing professional relationships with sponsors and affiliated agencies through consultative sales strategies and objectivebased programming
Collaborating with property and university team members to ideate develop and pitch strategic marketing platforms and unique strategies to increase revenues
Conceptualizing and developing compelling sponsorship packages to maximize exposure and results for sponsors
Securing and conducting facetoface sales meetings by leveraging relationships
Negotiating and closing sponsorship deals and working with legal counsel through contract execution
Implementing best practices as established by the Company to drive effective and competitive sales and fulfillment strategies
Creating and presenting professional activation execution plans to drive and manage deadlines
Executing the coordination of fulfillment elements with university and venue staff (marketing communications social media operations/facilities etc.) to ensure delivery of all promised benefits
Coordinating and implementing hospitality events and initiatives
Developing yearend recap decks and renewal/upsell presentations
Daily management of CRM data including maintaining detailed records of sales activity and sponsor communication and following Company standards for use and system hygiene
Contributing innovative and impactful thoughts or actions to boost revenues for Company
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of relevant experience in sports marketing event planning sales or a related field
Interest in and working understanding of college athletics
Experience in event management and sponsor activation
Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDFs; Photoshop and/or KORE CRM experience a plus
Thorough research and analytical skills including the ability to synthesize findings into actionable plans
Great attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
Strengths in time management and effective multitasking
