These may include abdominal Ob/Gyn cardiac vascular musculoskeletal and small parts. This position examines the patients clinical history to identify the examinations purpose. It frames the clinical questions the examination aims to answer and expands the examination as Functions of the RolePerforms various specialty ultrasound procedures using different equipment and techniques. Makes necessary measurements for accurate and highquality interpretation and defines abnormalities specific to the procedure. Extends the examination scope appropriately deviating from standard techniques when necessary. Correlates other diagnostic test results with anatomy and function. Utilizes appropriate protection measures during assist physicians in procedure and operating rooms by performing ultrasound studies. This aids in complex procedures and decreases risk patients for procedures and obtains clinical history including physical findings and lab data. Adapts imaging techniques for comprehensive exams to avoid errors. Explains the purpose of the ultrasound examination to the patient and answers team members must follow policies procedures and workflows. These include PACS EMR image exchange systems modality worklist integrity record management and BioMed Success FactorsMust be familiar with approved clinical protocols for each type of ultrasound examination to be meet all qualifications for any two of these specialties: Ob/Gyn cardiac vascular musculoskeletal or small parts.
