Job Description
35% Patient Care
Provides safe ethical patientcentered culturally congruent and evidencebased care within the scope of practice. Organizes patient rooms for visit needs and ensures cleanliness of room before and after visit. Obtains and documents vital signs and patientreported signs and symptoms in the EMR and places patients in rooms. Manages the random drug screen process for colleges. Upload drug screening results to the appropriate student Point and Click Electronic Medical Record (PnC EMR). Provide the results with the requested college and the appropriate provider documenting those actions in the PNC EMR.
35% Clinic Support Functions
Performs administrative tasks that support the efficient functioning of the clinic (e.g. answering patient health and phone calls as well as emails greeting patients consent forms immunization forms patient payments record uploading schedule patient appointments). Monitor clinic supply needs inform lead nurses and assist with orders as needed. Supports the role of the Administrative Coordinator as needed. Monitors the email for new students without net IDs and graduates along with Student Health Staff as well as current students emails through LifeNet with responses within 24 hours on business days. Assists with quality improvement projects and any special projects assigned by the Lead Nurse/Associate/Executive Director. Uses computer software programs (e.g. Point N Click Maxient Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel and others) to meet position responsibilities.
10% Occupational Health
Assists with immunization document processing including evaluating if students meet MUSC prematriculation and annual requirements and followup with Administrative Coordinator 1 to contact the college compliance officers. Respond to student emails regarding immunizations and assist with any vaccine clinic events.
10% Maintenance of Physical Facility
Monitors the safety cleanliness and effectiveness of the environment and equipment. Inform the Lead Nurse/Associate Director of any unsafe practices needed facility repairs or new equipment. Scan environment for any needed clinic supplies and equipment as well as any needed office supplies and inform the Lead Nurse/Administrative Coordinator.
5% Licensed Practical Nurse Knowledge and Professionalism
Using excellent interpersonal skills maintains professionalism and promotes and rolemodels a culture of health and wellbeing for students staff and faculty. Maintains LPN certification and seeks out any needed training e.g. BLS.
5% Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements: Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing and two years of related experience as an LPN. Positions in this classificaiton require licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Requires certification in Basic Life Support prior to the completion of general orientation.
