RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Direction

Communicate the actions needed to implement the functions strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organizations mission vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.

Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting

Develop and implement a relationship management plan for potential customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision makers and influencers within the customer organization and to enable effective twoway flow of information and resolution of issues.

Sales Opportunities Creation

Develop a personal network within the business sector and represent the organization at business sector events. Obtain market intelligence and enhance the visibility and reputation of the organization its products and its services.

Sell Customer Propositions

Use personal expertise to identify the complex standard products and/or services offered by the organization that meet the customers needs together with quantities and product configurations. Present these to the customer with a clear rationale and at standard commercial terms referring to senior colleagues where necessary to ask for concessions (e.g. price reduction) that gain the customers agreement.

Promoting Customer Focus

Collaborate internally and work as the customer champion in crossfunctional teams to build strong external customer relationships.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data

Enter customer information that has been gathered through research and/or through direct customer contact into the customer relationship management system to ensure that the organization has quality data to enable effective customer retention and business development activities OR Ensure that team members maintain uptodate customer relationship management data identifying and resolving issues.

Policy Development & Implementation

Help develop procedures for an area of the organization and monitor their implementation.

Organizational Capability Building

Use the organizations formal development framework to identify the teams individual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their capabilities. Provide training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.

Functional Strategy Formation

Contribute to the formation of one or more elements of functional strategy through specialist expertise and insights to ensure that the strategy meets business needs.

Business Planning

Contribute to the development of annual business plans; contribute with developing business cases for key activities/projects and with estimating the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets.

Budgeting

Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization.

Operational Compliance

Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organizations policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct and ensure own work adheres to required standards.
