Job Description

Methodist Healthcare the largest provider of cardiovascular services in South Texas is recruiting a cardiothoracic surgeon to join an established practice and growing program in San Antonio Candidates:Board certified or board eligibleEligible for an unrestricted medical licensure in Texas requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience preferred candidates with less experience will be considered and encouraged to applyExperience in routine and complex coronary work valve repair/replacement and transcatheter valve proceduresExperience and comfort level with aortic disease to include open and endovascular aortic proceduresExperience in routine thoracic and minimally invasive lung surgeryKnowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular proceduresSuperb communication skills a track record of leadership and a passion for program development and collaborationPosition Details & Incentive/Benefits Package:Ability to primarily focus practice at one of our Methodist Healthcare hospitalsCall required expected rotation: 1:5 weekend call; 1:7 weekday callSupports 3 cardiology practices with over 150 physiciansOpportunity to join an established and respected practice formed in 1997Mentorship available from senior physiciansEmployed position with competitive compensationComprehensive benefit package that includes health and dental coverageRelocation assistancePaid malpractice
