RIS is looking for an organized and loving individual to lead our 21st Century afterschool program beginning in theschool year. This will start on July 1st and will be 30 hours a week.
CLASS TITLE: 21st CCLC PROGRAM SITE COORDINATOR LEVEL 1
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills be goal orientated and have the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively with a variety of people faculty and staff students and families and agencies.
- Demonstrates ability to coordinate training and professional development for staff.
PERFORMANCE
REPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements all rules and regulations policies and administrative guidelines as adopted by the Board of Education.
- Recruits students and parents for program activities.
- Participates in professional development in core content; program of studies reading math and science best practices.
- Attends national state and regional 21st CCLC meetings as required by KDE or as requested by principals.
- Purchases supplies for program maintains program inventory.
- Coordinates with program partners to offer enrichment and recreational activities.
- Gathers student academic and noncognitive and parent data for evaluation.
- Coordinates with local food services to provide snacks for students.
- Assigns adult and student tutors.
- Manages all activities when program is in session and provides handon help and oversight of day to day program activities.
- Organizes and plans Saturday field trips and summer camps.
- Coordinates with district transportation officer to provide transportation for afterschool Saturday and summer program.
- Organizes and designs schedule of sessions for afterschool program. Contacts partners and schedules partner sessions.
- Conducts Advisory Council meetings.
- Revises and improves program activities according to evaluation plan.
- Coordinate WKCTC activities and refer parents for adult literacy or GED classes.
- Advertise the program to students parents and community based organizations.
- Assist program director in the financial management of funding.
- Seek additional funding to sustain the program.
- Pursue continuing education opportunities in best practices and sciencebased strategies.
- Assist in media and public relations campaigns.
- Attend parentteacher conferences backtoschool activities and other activities to advertise program opportunities.
- Manage and coordinate program staff and volunteers.
- Responsible for all project documentation.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain a professional and appropriate appearance.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A related 4year degree (Preferred)
Appropriate experience in a related field (Required)
