EmbryRiddle Aeronautical University in Prescott AZ is seeking candidates for an Adjunct Instructor within our Simulation Science Gaming and Animation Program. We seek passionate individuals with a unique blend of technical expertise and teaching prowess in mixedreality production. We encourage you to apply if you are a creative thinker with handson experience in simulation game development and 3D content creation using Unity Maya Oculus and HoloLens.

Responsibilities:

Teaching: Deliver engaging instruction in the SIM 450 Mixed Reality course. This course equips students with the skills to create immersive interactive experiences in spatial computing encompassing virtual and augmented reality. Topics covered include gazebased control player movement techniques and XRspecific UI/UX best practices. Students will develop multiple playable mixedreality projects.

Course Development: Collaborate in designing and updating the course curriculum ensuring its alignment with industry trends and standards.

Mentoring: Guide and mentor students in developing userbased prototypes fostering their growth as game developers and virtual content creators.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to contribute to the development of immersive realtime experiences and simulations influencing course design and curricula.

Qualifications

Educational Background: A degree related to Game Design Computer Science 3D Animation Interactive Media Arts or Simulation Science is preferred. Industry experience is highly regarded.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages relevant to interactivity and graphics is essential.

Passion for Education: Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching a genuine interest in undergraduate education and a desire to engage with students.

Innovation: Interest in emerging media and the ability to develop new forms of interactive media and storydriven content in areas such as simulations electronic games and mixed reality experiences.

Location:

This position requires oncampus presence. EmbryRiddle is a small private residential university located in the picturesque mountains of Arizona. Our institution highly values facultystudent interaction creating a closeknit academic community. Prescott at an elevation of 5000 ft. offers a mild climate clean air pristine wilderness areas and proximity to national forests. It is conveniently situated 100 miles north of Phoenix and 120 miles south of the Grand Canyon.
