ABOUT US:
The Jonus Group is a specialized insurance staffing firm that connects top talent with industryleading clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Middle Market Underwriter to join our ARated international clients team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in underwriting complex middle market accounts across multiple lines of business including property casualty general liability and workers compensation. This role requires strong analytical skills market knowledge and the ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients to drive profitable growth.
COMPENSATION:
- $140000 $175000/year

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Business Economics or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of middle market P&C underwriting experience preferably with middle market accounts.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis credit risk assessment and P&C industry dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a teamoriented environment.
- Strong decisionmaking skills with a resultsdriven approach.
- Must have strong relationships with private equity brokers
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business for middle market accounts within established guidelines and authority levels.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of middle market accounts balancing growth and profitability objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers agents and clients to drive business development.
- Work closely with internal teams including claims risk control and actuarial to support underwriting decisions.
- Stay informed of industry developments competitive landscape and emerging risks.
