Be part of an innovative team! In this role you will work in the Finance Transformation & Reporting team playing an integral role within the financial reporting process for internal and external reporting documents that will ultimately go to Senior Management Board of Directors and/or the public. Being part of the Finance Transformation & Reporting team means you will be continually challenged to learn grow and develop your skills.
This is for an 8month work term (September 2025 April 2026).
This opportunity is available to students with a December 2025 or later graduation date.
What will you do
- Support and facilitate the quarterly and annual external and internal reporting process for Sun Life Financial and Sun Life Assurance including preparation of the data for the Financial Statements and Notes Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) Financial Supplement and Management Reporting.
- Support the datadriven aspect within financial reporting process across Corporate Finance teams to meet key reporting deliverables and ensure accuracy of the financial information.
- Liaise with various stakeholders across Corporate Finance and Business Groups to understand changing business requirements and deliver on their needs.
- Identify process improvement opportunities in our reporting processes and provide recommendations to eliminate manual recurring processes.
- Learn about Sun Lifes financial reporting and business processes and use bestinclass tools to complete quarterends.
- Other adhoc requests/projects as required.
What do you need to succeed
- Currently enrolled in an accredited accounting commerce or business undergraduate program at a postsecondary institution with the intention to obtain a CPA designation.
- Available for 8month coop term (September 2025 April 2026)
- Ability to work independently and with minimal direction and frequent interruptions.
- Ability to be proactive thinking several steps ahead to understand and address needs.
- Ability to thrive in an environment with pressing deadlines and constantly changing conditions.
- Demonstrated academic excellence and leadership ability.
- Good analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Energetic enthusiastic and excellent interpersonal relations to interact professionally with people at all levels of the company.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Workiva and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must possess a high level of commitment and dedication to the role and the team.
- Flexibility and commitment to work overtime as required.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
