Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
SC certification as a School Psychologist Level II or ability to obtain certification and a strong GPAin relevant coursework
Experience as a school psychologist preferred
Skill in evaluating planning and implementing services for students needing assistance
Experience with placement hearings manifestation meetings determining eligibility and identificationstatus of students
Outstanding organizational skills and experience in maintenance of case records
Supporter and advocate of the inclusion model for students
Knowledge of instruction and innovative teaching methods
Experience dealing with community health and social welfare agencies preferred
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Skill in providing/assisting with inservice training of school personnel related to special education
Skill in interpersonal relations with pupils parents teachers staff and the general public
Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
Salary Range:School Psychologist
Length of Contract: 210 days (to include summer workdays)
Starting Date:School Year
College transcripts three references and a copy of appropriate credentials should also be submitted during the application process.
