Job Description

Aboriginal Identified Project Coordinator Community Engagement

Location: Newcastle Wetherill Park or Wollongong

3 Positions Available Temporary fulltime until June 2028

$132022 package includes salary ($108494 $116838) employers superannuation and annual leave loading

Applicants for this position must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identify as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted in the community as such. The TAFE NSW Manufacturing Centres of Excellence (MCoE)are National Centres of Excellence a joint initiative between the Australian Government and NSW Government under the National Skills Agreement.

MCoEs are an innovative education model to tackle the manufacturing skills challenge for NSW and Australia. Located in Western Sydney the Hunter and the Illawarra each centre specialises in different areas. These include advanced manufacturing with robotics and 3D printing supporting clean energy in net zero manufacturing and sustainable manufacturing practices supporting the heavy manufacturing industry and supporting new and existing workforce build the skills they need for the future.

By partnering with other CoEs TAFES universities and industry these nationally networked centres ensure training aligns with realworld job requirements. The MCoEs offer short courses microskills and will soon deliver higher apprenticeships to help individuals become jobready or enhance their skills for future opportunities.

About the Role

As Project Coordinator Community Engagement you will build meaningful partnerships with industry and Aboriginal communities to strengthen connections with the MCoE. You will support placebased engagement initiatives that raise awareness foster trust and encourage community participation in a range of opportunities offered through the MCoE.

Your work will support the delivery of projects that encourage participation in training and help ensure our Centres of Excellence are inclusive accessible and aligned with community and industry needs.

About You

You possess exceptional communication skills are analytical organized and a natural problem solver. You thrive on building trusting relationships collaborating with your team and taking initiative.

You have proven experience in delivering customer communications and engagement strategies within a large education or training service delivery organization or a similar environment.
