Job Description

Job Description Summary

Supplier quality engineer will be onsite supplier quality support for the shop. Act as a liaison between the supply base and the shop. Strong communication skills and technical background desired as communication and coordination with the suppliers is a daily task. Responsible for continuous improvement and metrics for supplier quality. Works with central and onsite sourcing for improvement of supplier quality along with coordination of audits for suppliers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assess potential suppliers capabilities and quality systems. Conduct audits and evaluations to ensure suppliers meet company standards.

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes for incoming materials. Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues related to supplier materials.

    Work with suppliers to implement corrective actions and preventive measures. Facilitate root cause analysis and problemsolving activities.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve their processes and product quality. Promote and implement lean manufacturing principles and practices. Drive initiatives for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

  • Maintain accurate records of supplier quality performance. Prepare reports and presentations for management review. Ensure proper documentation of quality issues and resolutions.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company and suppliers for qualityrelated matters. Coordinate with internal teams such as engineering production and procurement to address quality concerns. Facilitate regular meetings and reviews with suppliers.

  • Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier facilities and processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing/Quality).

  • 3 years of experience in Manufacturing/Quality
