Job Title: Labourer Temporary

Location: Edmonton AB

Overview:

Are you ready to make a positive impact on the environment while working with a dynamic team GFL Environmental is seeking a motivated Temporary Labourer to join us in Edmonton AB. The Labourer will safely assist drivers and other employees in the collection of solid waste materials from a variety of collection vehicles as well as perform various labour/housekeeping duties around the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean up work areas
• Fuel vehicles and equipment
• Clean tracks on track type and related equipment
• Perform yard work including mowing and paper pick up
• Operate general site vehicles and equipment such as water trucks pickup trucks sweepers mowers trimming equipment etc.
• Work in accordance with Company and federal state/provincial and local safety policies & procedures
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work
• Direct traffic at the site as necessary
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired but not required.
• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Must be physically fit to work in an outdoor environment.
• Must be able to walk bend reach and lift regularly.
• Ability to manually push/move up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Additional Information:

• SafetySensitive Position: Will require completion of preemployment drug and alcohol screening.
• Work will be performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme temperatures and humidity.

• Work Environment: Exposure to loud noise moving mechanical parts fumes and airborne particles.
