Job Description
Were a nimble and agile startup revolutionizing the mobility landscape with our innovative subscriptionbased mobile app. Were seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to spearhead the rebuilding of our core subscription engine. In this critical role youll be instrumental in designing developing and deploying a new custombuilt subscription platform in Kotlin hosted on Google Cloud that will power our B2B/B2C solutions. Youll collaborate closely with our Head of System Architecture to bring this vision to life.
Tasks
As a Senior Full Stack Developer focused on our Subscription Engine you will:
- Subscription Engine ReArchitecture: development of our nextgeneration subscription engine transitioning away from WooCommerce to a custom solution built in Kotlin and React
- Backend Development (Kotlin/GCP): Develop robust scalable and secure backend services in Kotlin leveraging the full potential of Google Cloud Platform for hosting and related services.
- API Development & Integration: Design and implement clear and efficient APIs to connect the new subscription engine seamlessly with our frontend mobile application. Note: While API connection is crucial the primary focus of this role is on the backend engine itself not extensive frontend development.
- B2B Solution Focus: Develop and optimize the subscription engine specifically to support our B2B offerings including the Jobticket and the B2B Dashboard.
- Data Modeling & Management: Design and implement the necessary data models and database schemas to efficiently manage subscription data.
- Payment Gateway Integration: Integrate with various payment gateways to ensure seamless and secure payment processing within the new subscription engine.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement comprehensive unit integration and endtoend tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the new subscription engine.
- DevOps & Deployment: Work with our team to establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the efficient deployment and management of the subscription engine on Google with System Architect: Work closely with our Head of System Architecture on the overall design architecture and implementation of the new subscription engine.
Requirements
Experience and Skills:
- Significant experience as a Full Stack or primarily Backend Developer with a strong understanding of system architecture.
- Proven expertise in developing backend systems with Kotlin and React.
- Must have: Experience building APIs using a domaindriven design approach.
- Must have: Experience developing eventdriven applications utilizing a publish/subscribe system with a preference for GCP Pub/Sub.
- Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its various services.
- Strong understanding of API design and development.
- Excellent problemsolving debugging and performance optimization skills particularly in backend systems.
- Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
